Background on Founders



Alex Loo Liat Wah, Chief Executive Officer

Alex Loo is the CEO, serves as a Director on its Board and established InterAuct! together with co-founder, Luke Toh, in June 1998.

As CEO, Alex is key in driving the strategic direction of InterAuct!. Under his leadership, what started as the first consumer-to-consumer online auction site in Singapore has since its inception grown exponentially and now comprises numerous other B2C B2B auction sites managed and powered by InterAuct!'s proprietary auction platform technology through multi-tiered auction solutions.

Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in Jun 1999 and holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from The Association of Business Executives. A former highly decorated competitive water sportsman with a fondness for the performing arts and a passion to excel, Alex appreciates the beauty and excitement of the chase.



Toh Wei Meng @ Luke, Chief Information Officer

Toh Wei Meng carries the alias "Luke" (a reference to Luke SkyWalker of Star Wars) because of his pioneer status in the Singapore BBS (Bulletin Board Services) scene back in 1984 and his path started with the Apple II computer.

Since Jun 1998, as co-founder with Alex Loo, Chairman of its Board and Chief Information Officer of InterAuct!, Luke drives the technical direction and management of the InterAuct! auction solutions. He provided the initial impetus to the InterAuct! vision, resulting in the site's characteristic look and feel as testimony of his efforts.

Luke brings to InterAuct! a broad range of experience from diverse software programming to intimate computer hardware knowledge. He previously pursued an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from Nanyang Technological University.
